Top 5 News and Magazines Apps in Turkey Q2 2023 Performance

In the second quarter of 2023, the top News and Magazines applications in Turkey displayed diverse performance trends across weekly downloads, revenue, and active users, according to Sensor Tower data.

Medium saw a steady increase in weekly revenue, peaking at approximately $867 in late April and maintaining a high of around $862 by the end of June. Weekly downloads for Medium declined from 1.7K in late March to around 1.2K by the end of June. Active users fluctuated, peaking at 9.3K in early April but dropping to 7.9K by the end of the period.

Dergilik experienced a significant drop in weekly revenue from $683 at the end of March to just $101 by the end of June. Downloads also saw a notable decrease, starting at 16.2K in late March and falling to approximately 1.4K by the end of June. Active users followed a similar trend, decreasing from 81.9K at the end of March to around 51.1K by the end of the quarter.

Sözcü Gazetesi - Haberler maintained a relatively stable weekly revenue, peaking at $977 in early May and ending June at around $534. Weekly downloads showed a significant spike in mid-May, reaching 7.7K, but dropped back to around 2K by the end of June. Active users remained robust, fluctuating between 106K to 132K throughout the quarter.

Bloomberg: Finance Market News had a consistent weekly revenue, peaking at $668 in mid-April and maintaining around $651 by the end of June. Downloads were relatively low but stable, with a peak of 312 in late March and ending at 185 in late June. Active users were steady, fluctuating between 1.8K and 2.3K throughout the quarter.

Türkiye Raporu experienced variability in weekly revenue, peaking at $509 in early April but dropping to around $92 by the end of June. Downloads saw a significant spike in early April, reaching 5.1K, but declined to around 125 by the end of June.
